Under the auspices of the late Mother Ruth Robinson, former Iowa Jurisdictional State Supervisor of Women, Evangelist Beets received her Missionary license in 1979 from the Honorable Bishop Hurley Bassett Sr., Prelate of the Iowa Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Evangelist Beets works in the trenches of the community as a certified clinician on HIV/AIDS awareness, heartily working to educate the community on the HIV/AIDS pandemic and to increase the access of proper and adequate healthcare to the African-American community. In accordance with a federally funded coalition, Evangelist Beets enlightens the community on other issues such as cancer and cardiovascular health and disease. She consistently empowers her congregation and community members alike to adopt a proactive approach and stand when it comes to their health and other pertinent health issues. Utilizing her advanced degree, she is currently employed as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
